Hi, Bruce Huntington here. I want to welcome you to my web site. Here is what I have been doing lately.

Well, I'm staying safe at home, practicing and writing songs. Waiting patiently for the time I can get together with my friends to practice and start playing out again.

The cd that My producer, Ken Wilcox, and I put out, California Trails, has been getting some nice feedback:

The Western Way magazine Spring 2014 Issue
Rick Huff's Best of The West Reviews
"Bruce Huntington & Various Artists 'California Trails'
Welcome in a superb collection from the pen of highly skilled songwriter Bruce Huntington! Most of the songs here were recorded specifically for this release, which provides a superlative showcase for them. Featured from other albums are Bill Barwick's take of Wyatt's Lament,Jim Jones doing his & Bruce's Lost Canyons In His Mind and Coyote Ridge from Trails & Rails. Other performers happy to lend talents include Belinda Gail, Nancy Elliott, Marvin O'Dell, Journey West & Swing West, Mary Kaye, and producer Ken Wilcox. Notably Jon Messenger turns in one of his finest recorded performance on Huntington's Down The California Trail. One artist who had been slated to appear was Bruce's late brother Fred, to whom the collection is affectionately dedicated. Twelve tracks and highly recommended."

Nancy Elliott "I was honored when Bruce Huntington told me about the song ('My Master's Voice') a couple of years ago in Sonoita. And doubly thrilled to be asked to record it and then perform it at WMA. Thank you!"

Barbara Richhart, Western Belle, of KSJD CowTrails Show "Love the CD 'California Trails'"

Toe Tappin' Tommy Tucker, Western Heritage Show KRLC Radio "Great album!"

Mark Jackson, Performer "Excellent production values. You should be very proud of your new album!"

Jean Garcia "Your song 'My Master's Voice' on your new album is very moving. The song made my mother cry."

The CD is of original songs, eight that I wrote, three I co-wrote with my partner Jim Jones, and one I co-wrote with my wife, Maggie Edwards. The album features songs recorded by Mary Kaye, Belinda Gale, Jon Messenger, Bill Barwick, Marvin O'Dell, Jim Jones, Journey West, Call of the West, and Trails & Rails. The album is getting good airplay, especially in Great Britain, a pleasant surprise.

I was pleased that one of my new songs, My Master's Voice was featured at the WMA Convention's Friday Nite Opry show. The song was sung acapella with Nancy Elliott taking the lead, backed by a choir consisting of Jeanne Cahill, Jerome Campbell, Jim Jones, John Messenger, Grace from Livermore, Journey West, Ken Wilcox, and me.

For the third year in a row, I was a finalist for Song Writer of the Year. Considering the competition, it was indeed an honor to be included in that group of elite song writers. Congratulations to winner Mary Kaye!
